Building on the success of the Forest Flows Endeavour Programme, Scion has partnered with NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, University of Massachusetts Amherst and NIWA
to develop a proof-of-concept framework at different scales in the Far North/Te Hiku ō Te Ika of New Zealand.
This will provide valuable information for the Te Hiku iwi and local stakeholders on where the water goes and how much is being used.
If successful, this framework will be able to be applied to different temperate and tropical forests across the world.
