Last week was a busy one with attending and presenting the latest Forest Flows results at the European Space Agency - ESA PolinSAR and Biomass 2023 Conference (https://polinsar-biomass2023.esa.int/) as well as visiting and presenting at INRAE Bordeaux. Many thanks to raphael segura and Lisa Wingate for hosting my visit to INRAe. Researchers were very impressed with the Forest Flows programme's integrated series of terrestrial and remote sensing measurements. There was some amazement with the high quality data from Scion's FlowLab wireless meshed network and the Kafka Big Data Pipeline to manage the huge volumes of data. World leading NZ Inc. technology.
I appreciated the opportunity to share ideas with Europe-based researchers and exploring to opportunities for collaboration.
Forest Flows is funded by the NZ Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment Endeavour Fund.
